Admission
is open to any child regardless of race, sex religion,
or national origin. Children must be in normal physical health
and have normal emotional health. Acceptance of a handicapped
child is based on our staff's training and ability to work
effectively with the child and the degree to which the child can
function in the classroom.
We do not enroll children over the telephone or by mail. For a
new enrollment, at least one parent or guardian must come to the
school and observe the program. When a space is available, an
appointment is made with at least one parent who has read the
brochure carefully and the Director to discuss the CHILD
program, parents' expectations and the child's needs. An
interview with the child and the teacher is provided during this
time. If the parents and the school agree that CHILD is a
positive setting for the child, he/she will be formally enrolled
and the student application must be submitted to CHILD along
with the nonrefundable enrollment fee. You will then receive the
health appraisal, and child information card. The child
information card and health appraisal/immunization record are
due no later than the day school begins; the state of Texas
prohibits the admission of children to school without these
documents. The first month of school is on a trial basis to
allow the time to be sure that the placement is appropriate for
the child. Any child withdrawn during this time is not subject
to the enrollment agreement.
Children can not be
admitted to class until:
* the enrollment fee is paid in full-
* a current health appraisal/immunization record signed by a
licensed physical is on file-
* all inoculations and boosters required by TX Health Department
have been given, verified and on file -
* the child information card, application and tuition contract
is signed and on file-
